Since 2011, Toronto band Little Kid has developed a ruminative folk-rock sound across various home recordings self-released to a cult audience. They make their full-length label debut with Transfiguration Highway, which centers around songwriter Kenny Boothby's observations about spirituality, perception, and personal growth. Stereogum places their "sighing twilight vibe" somewhere in the rustic lineage from Neil Young to Sufjan Stevens and Whitney. The LP is out on Solitaire Recordings.
