Over the past decade-plus, multi-instrumentalist/producer Todd Goldstein has chartered a path within indie rock, first in the band Harlem Shakes, and more recently with ARMS. Now under the solo alias of TG, he enters a more tranquil sonic territory, mirroring his recent move from New York City to Portland, Oregon. Across the collection of minimalist synth and guitar instrumentals, Goldstein focuses on texture and trance-like repetition, opening up "a true altered zone to a different plane," says Recommended Listen.
