As Fire-Toolz, Chicago-based experimental electronic producer Angel Marcloid explores the possibilities in the outer limits of sound design. Overloaded and unpredictable, her compositions work with countless musical styles while belonging to none. "Between all the zig-zagging breakcore beats, the cheesed-out jazz-fusion guitars, and the throttling black metal shrieks, there's a liberating sense of expression that binds everything together," says Bandcamp Daily, who spoke with the transfemme artist last year. Field Whispers (Into The Crystal Palace) marks her first release with Orange Milk Records and her most vivid, high resolution work to date.
