Crater is a Seattle-based electro-pop duo consisting of Ceci Gomez and Kessiah Gordon. Detailing the energy behind their thematically direct and sonically polished sophomore LP, Unearth, the band writes, “We both had fallen out of love, were trying to identify the differences between loneliness and solitude, while simultaneously dealing with family illness, and then the election happened...we eventually conceded to the fact that we live in dark times and shouldn’t avoid reckoning with or writing about it.” Songs pulsate with industrial drum beats and moody synth lines, delivering an emotional urgency that's anything but passive.
