Warm Drag is the LA-based pairing of Vashti Windish (Golden Triangle) and Paul Quattrone (Oh Sees, !!!). Citing disparate influences—from Nico to Blondie to Public Enemy's producers The Bomb Squad—the duo describes their sound as "samplers-and-switchblade post-noir noise disco." Their eponymous debut presents a hypnotic, grooving fusion best broken down in their own words: "where girl groups, dub, harsh noise, minimal synth, repetitious industrial, voodoo percussion, power electronics, black leather jacket rock n' roll and DJ Screw-inspired slowing down/pitching down of samples all meet.” It sees release on seminal garage rock label In The Red, early home to Ty Segall Band, Jay Reatard, and the Black Lips.
