Melbourne's The Stevens share members with fellow Aussie bands The Twerps and Tyrannamen. The quartet's sophomore album continues the catchy, fuzzy guitar sound lauded on their 2014 breakout debut (which landed them on stages with Wire, Parquet Courts, Real Estate, and their hero R Stevie Moore). Recorded in various bedrooms, songs on Good channel '70s prog and classic rock, conveying dark and frenetic sentiments through the guise of pleasant, lively sonics. "A joyous and heartbreaking ride, a haze of indie-pop bliss defined by its sloping guitars," says NPR. It's out on Chapter Music.
