Based in Berlin since the early 2000s, René Pawlowitz has long been "one of techno's most respected producers," per Resident Advisor. Fusing breaks, bass, ambient, hardcore, and more, he's released music under several aliases with labels including Modeselektor's 50 Weapons, Berghain's Ostgut Ton, and his own Soloaction Records. For his fifth studio album as Shed, Pawlowitz reflects on his hometown of Oderbruch, the marshy, post-industrial, post-war borderland region in former East Germany. It's his first album on Ostgut Ton since 2010.
