The Summer of Save Money continues: this week Brian Fresco drops a breezy, dancehall-indebted track featuring fellow collective member Chance and a rather less-expected guest, Montreal duo Blue Hawaii. From Fresco's forthcoming mixtape, Casanova.

Daniel Wilson - Sinner Of The Week

Posted by 12 sites • Also on: SpotifyApple Music
With a take on modern R&B, pop and house informed by his gospel roots, the latest from Michigan native Wilson (nicknamed "Little Luther" by his parents) arrives on his own Zap label and earns a comparison to Michael Jackson circa Off The Wall from The Fader.

Hoops - Cool 2

Blogs are likening Hoops' hazy guitar pop to the golden days of early Real Estate. The Bloomington band has an EP due soon on Fat Possum, and share some live dates with Whitney and Porches. "Tailor-made for summer road trips and night swims," says GvB.

Negative Gemini - Don't Worry Bout the Fuck I'm Doing

Here is Queens-based producer and Hype Hotel alum Lindsey French "calmly telling off catcallers" over a bouncing beat (per FACT, who's been finding her work "increasingly exciting"). Brooklyn label 100% Electronica releases the full length album in August.

Florian Kupfer - Erika

Berlin-based DJ/producer Kupfer returns to Ninja Tune imprint Technicolour (home to Kutmah, Legowelt) for his latest solo EP, wherein "he indulges his passion for improvised hardware jams on a harrowing and sentimental broken ballad," says Boiler Room.

Stephen Steinbrink - Building Machines

Anagrams, the new album from Stephen Steinbrink.

Current gets to the bottom of NPR’s signature sound:

"What makes NPR’s broadcast sound so crisp and bright, while many local public radio stations have a bassier, boomier tone?"

Thanks for listening!
