Kehlani x WSTRN - In2

WSTRN is an up-and-coming R&B trio out of West London (the clue is in the name) that had a UK hit late last year with this track. But now it gets a refresh courtesy of another rising talent, West Coast singer Kehlani, who adds her signature vocal.

Anna Meredith - Taken

After a pair of EPs (and vast work as a composer) Scotland's Anna Meredith preps a debut LP for Moshi Moshi Records. Her synth-heavy pallette—which Stereogum calls "genre-averse"—gains a soaring guitar line on this triumphant lead single.

Anderson .Paak - Come Down (Prod. by Hi-Tek)

Just a few Stacks back, we noted the buzz surrounding hip-hop multi-talent Anderson .Paak. His new album arrives this Friday, and another cut—"a funked up, percussive explosion," per Okayplayer—is here early, and among the week's most-blogged.

Quilt - Eliot St.

The third full-length from this Boston-raised psych-rock outfit arrives next month via Mexican Summer. It finds the four-piece sounding "more technically sophisticated than ever," says The FADER, as evidenced on recent singles "Eliot St." and "Roller".

Fort Romeau - Secrets & Lies

London producer (and "Slow Listening" advocate) Mark Greene follows up superb 2015 LP Insides (premiered here on Hype Machine) with a series of 12" releases, the latest of which features this 10-minute deep house meditation, replete with Dirty Dancing sample.

Guy Blakeslee - Halcyon Movement 2

The Middle Sister, the new LP from Entrance Band frontman Guy Blakeslee, out on LA-based experimental hub Leaving Records.

There were countless good reads published this week on David Bowie’s legacy as a musician, performer, and cultural icon. We collected a few favorites here.

Thanks for listening!
