Last heard here on Stack №216, London-based DJ and producer Steven Julien joins the ranks of !K7's iconic DJ-Kicks mix series. Here's another find from janglepophub: Connecticut/Texas band The Purple Spots make psych-pop music "characterized by its eclecticism," says the site, likening their new EP to "the San Francisco jangle of acts like The Reds, Pinks, and Purples, Flowertown, and Cindy." Out today, it's their second release on Austin Town Hall Records.
