BLUE HAWAII - I Felt Love +1 remix

Posted by 4 sites • On Bandcamp • Also on: Spotify
Starting the week off with Stack favorites Blue Hawaii, the lead to the Montréal duo’s new mixtape released on Friday. They wrote it while touring last year, where “the crowd would respond best to no-frills, fun and straightforward grooves with a nice loud vocal on top.”

Slauson Malone - The Wake Pt. 3 & 2 (see page 87, 58, and 48)

Posted by 3 sites • On Bandcamp • Also on: Spotify
Co-founder of abstract jazz group Standing on the Corner (Stack №137), Slauson Malone releases a collection of solo material. Per Bandcamp, Crater Speak is a "clear-headed stream of seething one-liners funneled through drifting guitar chords, warped piano taps, and audio glitches."

Julia Bardo - I Wanna Feel Love

Posted by 1 site • On Bandcamp • Also on: Spotify
Manchester-via-Italy musician Julia Bardo follows up her spring 2020 EP Phase—the title track heard here—with a second EP via Wichita Recordings. It showcases an “atmospheric, melancholy singer-songwriter styled indie rock,” says BrooklynVegan.

AceMo · Les Sins - C'mon Les' Go

Two underground heavyweights—AceMo (Stack №284) and Chaz Bear under his Les Sins alias (Stack №8)—connect for a playful batch of dance tracks. "Fun, spirited, and spontaneous, their debut EP together plays to their shared strengths," says Pitchfork.

Rich Aucoin - How It Breaks

Posted by 1 site • On Bandcamp • Also on: Spotify
Halifax’s Rich Aucoin is known for his vibrant pop music. His latest effort, United States, speaks to the urgency and unrest of the present moment. He wrote this single while cycling across the country in support of mental health charities.
Ambient-minded musician Benoît Pioulard offers up a soothing, wide-ranging autumn mix.

For The Creative Independent, Brassland co-founder Alec Hanley Bemis gives 19 tips for starting a label:

"Only the artists are forever, and I’d advise anyone building a business on recorded music to focus your energies on them."

Thanks for listening!
