Lower Dens - To Die In L.A

Posted by 28 sites • Also on: Spotify
Dreamy Baltimore band Lower Dens announce LP3 with their brightest single to date. Madrid-based blog Stereo Pills says of the new direction: "luminoso y accesible, en la onda del synth pop de finales de los 80."
"Imagine PC Music doing R&B," Fader aptly poses, introducing this "coy duet about spooning in front of the TV well past midnight," from London producer Hiko Momoji joined by Father and Abra, two artists from Atlanta label-to-watch Awful Records.

Julio Bashmore - Kong feat. Bixby

Posted by 28 sites • On SoundCloud • Also on: Spotify
Bashmore's been busy--starting his own label (Boardwalk), producing for others (like Jessie Ware), releasing the occasional single. But this latest teaser from a long-awaited full-length is, according to Nialler9, "another sign that his 2015 debut is going to slay."

Lusts - Temptation

The shadow of Leeds neo-psych group Hookworms gets longer each day, their Suburban Home recording studio serving as launch pad for a string of great new bands. Brother duo Lusts is the latest, "never laying off the reverb or the sumptuous hooks" (Overblown).

Pictureplane - Hyper Real +2 remixes

DIY dark wave/nü-rave producer Travis Egedy returns, using his "nerve-damaged futurism in service of a twinkling, sighing pop song" (Stereogum) on IHEARTCOMIX’s new IHC Infinity imprint.
FEATURED ALBUM

This week's album premiere is Snapshots, the atmospheric debut from Icelandic producer/composer Tonik Ensemble.

As for interesting reads, try this one about the era of Hipster Runoff.

Thanks for listening!
