Per Chicago Reader, her soulful debut "takes its strength from friends and collaborators, her childhood mentors, her immigrant parents."

Christopher Taylor started recording as Body Meat after discovering late Denver DIY space Rhinoceropolis. Now based in Philly, he recently talked to Pitchfork, who describe his latest as "a collection of raucous tracks combining Nigerian vocal samples, video-game plinks, deep grunts, high-pitched chirps, and all manner of drums, spliced together into unpredictable patterns."
