Kadhja Bonet - Mother Maybe

Last heard here on Stack №110 (and The Visitor), Los Angeles-based multi-instrumentalist, singer, songwriter, and producer Kadhja Bonet announces her new album on Fat Possum, sharing this soulful, psychedelic, retro-feeling lead single.

Amen Dunes - Blue Rose

One of the most celebrated works of the season belongs to experimental pop songwriter Amen Dunes (Stack №6). Released last week, Freedom is "a momentous, unprecedentedly confessional record for the New Yorker," says The Quietus.

Released yesterday, SABA's new album, Care For Me, finds the rising Chicago MC (and Stack favorite) refining his smooth, introspective craft with cameos by Chance the Rapper, theMIND, and Kaina. "Smile" is a feel-good ode to his family.

Adrian Younge - Silhouette Dreams

For his new album, composer Adrian Younge recruits opera singer Brooke deRosa and jazz singer Rebecca Englehart to build "an unrelenting mix of funk, R&B, jazz, and folk, all refracted through a kaleidoscopic lens," says Bandcamp Daily.

bakar - million miles

North London lyricist Bakar brings hip-hop influences into his melodic punk-spirited pop music. "A warm and raucous offering from a refreshing artist who's bringing indie rock back in a big way," says Dummy.

Young Galaxy - Under My Wing

Down Time, a self-released LP from Montreal electronic-pop duo Young Galaxy.

Birds of Passage - The Love Song

The Death of Our Invention: ambient folk from New Zealand's Birds of Passage.

Air Waves - Warrior

Warrior, the hopeful new album from Brooklyn-based indie-pop project Air Waves.
Producer/DJs Shy One and Hector Plimmer mix a mellow two-hour set of freeform jazz, soul, and house for Peckham-based radio station Balamii.

Pitchfork makes the case for calling Boards of Canada’s Music Has the Right to Children the greatest psychedelic album of the ’90s:

"Listening to tracks like 'Wildlife Analysis' or 'The Color of the Fire,' you can’t help but think of yellowing photographs in the family album, blotchy and washed-out Super-8 films, or the drop-out addled sound of favorite cassettes left too long on the car dashboard."

Thanks for listening!
