Hoop - Baseboards (feat. Briana Marela)

Seattle four-piece Hoop will soon release their debut LP, a collection of pensive soft rock songs. Briana Marela joins them in this duet, "a pinched echo chamber," says Stereogum, where "they reflect on a relationship in which they’re not getting what they need."

Taylor Bennett - Only Brother A Special Remix

Nearing the top of Popular at the moment is a birthday tribute to Chance The Rapper from his younger brother Taylor Bennett. The D.R.A.M.-featuring Coloring Book cut is remixed with new verses reminiscing on their childhood. Per Twitter, it brought Chance to tears.

Bandcamp Daily is excellent at shining a light on thriving music communities, and this week they featured Richmond, VA's; specifically, a circle of underground hip hop artists with ties to LA's beat-scene. Among them is recent Stones Throw signee DJ Harrison.

Standing On The Corner - My Funny

The most famous version of jazz standard "My Funny Valentine" is probably Chet Baker's. But the wildest and weirdest safely belongs to Crown Heights-based freeform group Standing On The Corner. If intrigued, also check their 2016 album and recent video.

ANNA - Haze Moon

Here comes "an ideal peak-time track" for dancefloors everywhere courtesy of Brazilian producer ANNA and Matador’s RUKUS imprint. "Deep, ethereal, euphoric, a massive sound," says Mixmag.

The Spookfish - Everything is Moving so Fast

Black Hole, the debut studio LP from NY songwriter The Spookfish.

The Afternoons, the new LP from album garape pop project Cotillon.
On his mix for self-titled magazine, Polish composer/producer Michal Jacaszek explores the fine line between classical and electronic music—"no such strict division actually exists," he adds.

Wired profiles Steve Lacy—Kendrick Lamar collaborator, guitarist of The Internet, (and Stack favorite)—who produces music entirely on his iPhone.

"He wants to remind people that the performance, the song, the feeling matter more than the gear you use to record it. If you want to make something, Lacy tells me, grab whatever you have and just make it.”

Thanks for listening!
