Onlyness is the recording project of upstate New York multi-instrumentalist and singer-songwriter Rick Spataro (Florist, the Firs). His self-titled debut introduces flourishes of Americana, country, and alt-rock to the earnest and understated tonal palette fans of his other bands know well. Joined by friends on flute, lap steel, and backup vocals, Spataro delivers direct lyrical phrases above muted percussion and bass, electric and acoustic guitar, upright piano, analog synthesizers, and electronics. "He has a knack for crafting gorgeous, delicate music and bringing melody to life," says The Revue. The album is out on upstate New York's “artist-friendly, artist-run” Five Kill Records.
