WL//WH Premiere: EXTRA BLEU CIEL "Spiders" off "Hypersensible" LP [META MOTO] by WhiteLight//WhiteHeat published on 2025-02-27T16:52:52Z WL//WH welcomes the return of the Biel, Switzerland-based Minimal Synth duo of Sadie La Chèvre and Nora Düster AKA Extra Bleu Ciel, to the blog with the premiere of “Spiders”, taken from the forthcoming 12-track album, “Hypersensible,” due on March 14, 2025, via the Meta Moto label run by @egzotikka Imagine having a nightmare where a spider is trying to kill you, there is nowhere to hide, and no one can hear you scream. Then you awaken and are able to see the dark powers of the real world at play, such as seduction, greed, anger, and fear, and you realize that reality is far worse than the terrifying dream. The song triggers thumping, stumbling drum kicks and tinny, clinical beats that thread their way into sonorous buzzing low-end undulations, eerie, achingly twisting synth motifs and insistent piano keys, droning and tinkling with plain desolation, to surround softly stunned and in disbelief vocal anxiety, and haunted back-ups, with surreal feelings of menace, helplessness, and doom laden sorrow. Sadie La Chèvre and Nora Düster are Extra Bleu Ciel, a minimal synth band based in Biel, Swizerland. Extra Bleu Ciel is a bipolar borderline hyperactive teenager who likes to eat marshmallows at the cemetery. Extra Blue Ciel cries with joy contemplating the flight of hysterical crows at sunset. Extra Blue Ciel loves joyful despair and finds joy hopeless. Extra Bleu Ciel will always be 15 years old in 1981.
