Manic, rascal-like and life-affirming song about the fireworks and tears as yet another lost boy, through a path where none of the law's underlings can hurl their bloodhounds after him, finds his way to the loving arms of the brotherhood of boys, led by the trickster figure Reynard the Fox, from the streets and institutions, that in a camp of abandoned barracks in the forest, has created a sanctuary for suchs as themselves. (Part of a novel set to music.)
Under the Shadow of His Wings
With a packsack on the back and a cap in his hand
With the dark circles under the empty eyes
Which characterized the wanker
With a certain sense of embarrassment
Like many of the other boys
When put face to face with Reynard
Which quickly turned into familiarity
When experiencing the incredible love
And compassion which proceeded from him
Told that he and his father
Had fled from a country where
He had been convicted for a crime
Subjected to hatred and
Persecution from all of the society.
Now internationally wanted
Staying below the surface
Staying below
Reynard had an immediate
And unfailing ability
To probe the character of anyones soul
And he saw the boys soul was pure
Was touched by his unfortunate fate
Decided to take him under the shadow of
His big and loving
Seems a little quiet over here
