Having spent the majority of the early 2020s establishing himself as one of the most sought after up-and-coming producers in Nashville’s exploding underground pop scene, ANTi has been quietly laying the groundwork for his second act: a return to the fold as artist and frontman.
The atmospheric “Glass House” from his forthcoming debut solo album is the first song to raise the curtain. Written with Rich Harris and Graham Mallany and co-produced by Harris, it’s a masterclass in crisp pop songcraft and airtight production, at home with artists like Nick Jonas, Charlie Puth and Ellie Goulding.
Though the song shares some DNA with the music of ANTi’s former electro-pop duo, The Love Elektrik, as well as his early one-offs “Back 4 U” and “Love Somebody,” the threads that have long been present in his sound — shimmering synths, sledgehammer beats, elegantly precise guitar work — are refined and distilled to their most potent form here.
Exploiting a wider range of vocal textures with a matured skill and emotion, he lyrically explores deeper, more contemplative subject matter. Imagine the feeling of a present-day Justin Bieber song played by a young Phil Collins while John Mayer sits in. A new era begins for ANTi with “Glass House” set to release April 5, 2024.
Seems a little quiet over here
