As the summer begins to wane, it feels like the right time to set this one free. It’s a song about holding on to the things that fire you up; that give your life meaning despite the world doing it’s best to stop you. I certainly wrote this song to my creative self. As the years fall away, I find it gets harder to give enough attention to the things that light the spark within me; somewhere quietly defiant. I have friends the same way; torn between passion and paying the bills. We must endeavour to hold on to what makes us who we are.
Don’t Let Your Light Go Out.
Releasing Tuesday, 6th September, 2022.

LYRICS
There’s an old fashioned way of staying strong when days are long
In your quest, your search for proof, it’ll keep you calm and safe from harm
When it seems like the whole world is doubting you;
You can barely see the light when the day is through
Don’t Let Your Light Go Out
When your quest; your search for truth
Weighs you down and claims your youth
You can’t speak; your heart is stone
Your words are weak and dry as bone
There’s a new way, honey, I can see
There’s a better life ahead for you and me
Don’t Let Your Light Go Out
I’ve always known, I’ll ride out the storm (no matter what it takes)
I’ll find my way to the light; I’ll find my way home
I’m seeing it through
I’ve always known
I’ll ride out the storm
I’m seeing it through
Don’t Let Your Light Go Out
