Lyrics-
You were young, had a red Corvette,
When you close your eyes do you rest your head
You got me crying in, the middle of the night
It's hard to find my way alone
You were young, had a red Corvette
When you close your eyes do you rest your head
You got me crying in, the middle of the night
It's hard to find my way but I'll
Stay up, dancing all alone
Wake up, I never want to let you go
Stay up, dancing all alone
If you had your final words would you
Still let them go unheard
You never wanted to fall in the dead of night
It's hard to find my way alone
Stay up, dancing all alone
Wake up, I never want to let you go
Stay up, dancing all alone
Wake up, I never want to let you go
Your all I ever know
Your all I want to know
Feed me lies and feed me ecstasy
Your one parachute away from me
Wanna blur the lines every single night
You'll be everything I know
"Stay Up" is about vocalist: Alex Badgers first experience with MDMA.
Alex explains that her boyfriend and her stayed up all night dancing in their living room, holding each other in their arms, as the relationship troubles melted and the moment took hold.
Before that night Alex explains that she never knew what it was like to actually “feel good”, her experience shifted her perspective on life and although the drug wore off, the positive experience had long lasting effects.
MDMA use is being studied as an aid to help people who suffer with PTSD.
"Stay Up" is the first song we wrote together as a band in 3 years. It marks a pivotal point in a our career and we are stoked to share it with you.
