Now That We've Been In Love (feat. Pell)

This track was composed while living in a constant state of nostalgia and was heavily inspired by OutKast. The production is a modern take on older sounds, blending a past sense of self with a more confident and self-aware version in the present day. When I met with @Pellyeah to write the song’s lyrics, he brought it to an even deeper place about love and how it changes with experience. Our views of love inevitably change with each rendition of it that appears in our lives, whether it’s love for a person or what you do. The hook, “What you got is dangerous, but I can’t fight temptation”, looks at how powerful this emotion can be even against the tests of time. Love is both a temptation and a necessity, so embrace it and accept it when it’s found. This is the message we’d like to come across when listening to this song.
