Frank Ly is dropping the first single, Bug, from his upcoming mixtape (to be released at the end of September).
The track is a long-form, lofi house exploration which features dusty synths and sonic distortion.
Influences range from Knxwledge to Yves Tumor, and Blood Orange to Aphex Twin.

Music has always been central in Frank’s life. He has been playing jazz since he was eight, and grew up
in a musical environment influenced by his father, Peter Dasent, composer of scores for acclaimed cult films
Braindead, Meet the Feebles and Heavenly Creatures. He moved from Australia to Berlin three years ago, where he lives now.

"I was sitting on this beat for a while before all the parts came together,’ Frank says of the track.
‘I left my studio for a few hours one day and came back in and the lead synth part had magically assembled
itself. I don't know how that happened but I ran with it, and am really happy with the result."
