EX

Melbourne’s Ojikae (RnB artist Matt Cicero) today debuts his stunning new single ‘EX‘. A discussion of lust and heartbreak, the track is self-dubbed “music for the soul” by the 20-year-old. 'EX' was conceived in one weekend and surrounds the teenager’s infatuation with a girl. His writing was fuelled by prescriptions dulling the pain of wisdom teeth and ultimately expresses another heightened ache.

Originally released as a demo called 'Existentiality' in 2017, it was reworked alongside Grammy award nominee Uno Stereo (Khalid, Maurice Moore, ILLY), who co-produced the new version of ‘EX’ that we see today.

Of the re-release, Ojikae says; 'Releasing EX properly is a huge step for me moving forward in my career. I’m now working with a great team who have helped me build my own studio and achieve my vision and EX is only a small representation of what’s to come.'
