The Japanese songwriter Shintaro Sakamoto has been a cult hero to many out there for many years. After releasing three great albums (two via NY‘s Other Music label), German art-pop festival WEEK-END (weekendfest.de) invited Sakamoto to play his first ever live gig later this year.
Devendra Banhart, a devoted fan of Sakamoto‘s work for many years, who is also playing the festival, is covering one of his favorite songs – and performs it … in … JAPANESE!!!
