Tiggi Hawke - Burn Notice (Oliver Nelson Remix)

Off the back of runaway success with her debut single, ‘In The Wild’, Tiggi Hawke returns to take things up a notch with ‘Burn Notice’, this is the second track to be taken from an upcoming EP, a collection that showcases a torrent of feeling and emotion that simply demands to be recognised. Co-written with Bruce Fielder aka Sigala, and Marli Harwood (Kygo, Olly Murs), ‘Burn Notice’ sees this expertly channelled through Tiggi’s, cut-through, ethereal vocal, rumbling drums and imaginative yet bracingly open lyrics.

A gifted wordsmith, Tiggi draws from her own life, her own experiences, to craft superbly creative yet openly autobiographical pop hymns. “None of my music is ever going to be 100% happy because I don’t feel like that reflects life,” she says. “That’s just a rose-tinted version of life, that we maybe see on Instagram. I can pretty much guarantee that it won’t be like that. So all of my lyrics, all of my stories, are from things I’ve been through, and that I’ve experienced.”

When most people think of Sweden they think of the usual clichés: meatballs, blondes and reasonably priced furniture. Here at Data Transmission though, we aren’t most people and the first thing we think of when someone says Sweden is house music. The Swedish House Mafia may have brought Sweden to the attention of mainstream music fans in a way not seen since Abba via their chart topping exploits but they are far from the only talent to be coming out of the Scandinavian nation in recent times with a new wave of DJs and producers taking the world by storm.
