Peggy Gou "Troop" - Boiler Room Debuts

South Korea-born, UK-raised and Berlin-based Peggy Gou has been producing tracks at what has been described as a "prodigious rate" since her University days. She now prepares her Art of War 12" release for January 2016 on UK label, Rekids. EP opener, the tropical groove of "Troop" draws on Gou's years of honing her craft as a DJ: mannerisms of Detroit techno and New York house, African rhythmic reflections – not to mention, boogie influences shared with Early Sounds duo, Nu Guinea (from whom Gou had piano classes and sought production advice). On top of it all, a dreamy, Fred P-esque reworking of "Troop" is channeled, by none other than Galcher Lustwerk.
