"What's all this commotion about?" asked @w3n's debut EP, when it arrived in 2013 on Keysound Recordings. The previously unknown producer, as a result, created a stir in grimy, dark circles, spawning a whole new obsession with low sounds centred around the 130 BPM mark and ideas drawn from Tempa-era dubstep. Since then, Kent-based Owen Darby has helmed the hugely acclaimed full-length 'Signals', which showcased deft skill and a love of disembodying MCs, with a sharp salute to the roads.
After recently dropping an EP on Tectonic, 'Finesse', Darby shows no signs of slowing down with a new six-tracker on Parris's @soundman-chronicles. 'Senary Cycles' is a ten tonne offering of sub pressure and club impact, and we're pleased to premiere second track 'Pace Myself'.
