For the next Lost record we called up on NYC's Manik for a three track EP. The lead track 'I Know' kicks things off with a nice vocal dancefloor weapon. A real steady tonal constant low end sitting on top of an almost hypnotic hook. The raw vocal samples showcase an old school rhythm throughout. Jacques Renault on a remix tip steps it up little with a few glitchy surprises. Here the jackin percussion vibes work well alongside the raw drums.
To wrap things up 'Waiting' is a cleverly mastered garage style anthem with another melodic vocal arrangement which kindly provides an uplifting yet sleazy heads down groove.
This release offers some dazzling talent with sublime groove and techy impulses coming together perfectly. Hearing these early or late into the evening, this should go down a treat for some dancefloor heat!
