Never a band to rush in to things, patience (no, not the dreaded Gary Barlow song) has always been the name of the game for Stoke's Delamere. This lack of haste can't be attributed to a collective laziness however, far from it. It stems from an overt attention to detail and an overall perfectionism, manifesting most recently in the band's forthcoming single 'Headstrong'.

Built around an impressive juxtaposition of atmospheric verses and driving, frenetic choruses, there's an obvious musicality about this band that belies their relatively young years. Head nestling hooks and emphatic vocals are a Delamere staple, but here both are really brought to the fore; a product of two years of hard work and unwavering self-belief.

In those two years, the band have released a steady stream of sound defining singles, garnering somewhat of a cult following both in their hometown, and their adopted second home of Manchester, which was won over by the sell-out single launch for ‘Do You Want Me?’ at the ever-eclectic Deaf Institute. Whilst that sell-out show might well have been a crowning point in Delamere's early stages, it was the groundwork leading up to that point that really swung things in the band's favour.

Championed by multiple regional radio hosts including Rob Adcock (BBC Introducing Stoke) and Lucee Clarke (6town Radio), the band have also been firm favourites of critics across the net, such as Dave Beech (Louder Than War, Shout4Music). With such support almost from the word go, it was obvious that Delamere had ‘something’ about them. It's that ‘something’ that permeates the entirety of 'Headstrong', making it an engaging listen from one of the UK's most promising young bands.
