What do you know about Denmark? Think about it: hotdogs, licorice, beer, and a definite taste for alcohol. Vikings, Hamlet and Lego. Nor must we forget Hans Christian Andersen, Trentemøller and Junior Senior. So did we leave anything out? But of course we did; Jesper Ryom! This young Dane has already made a far-reaching impression with his "Nature Boy EP" on La Fleur’s label Power Plant Records, and recently his talent could also be heard on his remix of Marian’s "Passengers" on their remix album of “Only Out Hearts to Lose”. And now we are proud to present four new tracks on the digital Freude-Am-Tanzen sister label FATzig.

Jesper’s music is proof that house can be clever and still danceable, emotional and still cool. Again and again he mixes jazzy samples with self-played instruments and places these on a groovy four/four base to his own refined and not too heady vision of house. He’s got both legs in the club, and his mind on cloud nine. Guitar riffs drenched in reverb, vocals full of melancholy and harmonies for at least two eternities. Music that doesn't look at pop as a curse word, loves jazz and breathes dub. Direct from Copenhagen over Jena and out throughout the world. The open-air season can come right on by – and the next Denmark vacation too!

Was weiß man eigentlich über Dänemark? Mal überlegen: Hot-Dogs, Lakritze, Bier und überhaupt viel Alkohol. Wikinger, Hamlet, Lebenslust und Lego. Dann noch Hans Christian Andersen, Trentemøller oder Junior Senior. Was vergessen? Natürlich: Jesper Ryom! Der junge Däne hinterließ bereits mit seiner "Nature Boy EP" auf La Fleurs Label Power Plant Records mächtig Eindruck, veredelte zuletzt Marians "Passengers" für deren Remixkollektion des Only Our Hearts To Lose-Albums und legt nun endlich mit gleich vier neuen Tracks auf dem digitalen Freude-Am-Tanzen-Schwesterlabel FATzig nach.

Jespers Musik ist der beste Beweis dafür, dass House zugleich tanzbar und clever, emotional und cool sein kann. Immer wieder mischt er jazzige Samples mit selbsteingespielten Instrumenten und verschraubt diese auf einem groovenden Vierviertelfundament zu seiner ganz eigenen, raffinierten, aber nie zu verkopften Vision von House. It's a body thing, noch immer! Mit beiden Beinen im Club, im Kopf auf Wolke Sieben. Gitarren-Riffs, die den Sonnenaufgang heraufbeschwören, Vocals voller Melancholie und Harmonien für mindestens zwei Ewigkeiten. Musik, die Pop nicht als Schimpfwort versteht, Jazz liebt und Dub atmet. Direkt aus Kopenhagen über Jena hinaus in die Welt. Die Open-Air-Saison kann kommen - und der nächste Dänemark-Urlaub gerne auch!
