Prior to forming Deafkid, Chris & Flo worked with experimental hip-hop artist Ghostpoet forming the live band for tours between 2009-2012. Citing influences such as Three Trapped Tigers, Eskmo, Mew and Cant, the duo blend experimental electronica with pop sensibilities.
