'LAND OF RELICS' BACKSTORY:
Andria turned the pages slowly as she read the story of “The Ancient Troubles”.
The children looked up at her in wonder, her artificial voice had a soothing lilt to it, and her skin was so smooth and silvery.
They had all come to love the ornate “machine lady” from another age.
She looked out upon the beautiful city that had once lain in ruins.
She paused, moved by the thought of the dark days her and that boy had lived through.
“What’s wrong Miss Andria?” A boy child asked.
The sound of his voice pulled her out of the vision of that bygone era.
She turned to see the boy’s face. It was honest and innocent like that of her ancient companion.
She smiled at the little one. She was not designed to cry in happiness.
Yet again, her old programming had wondered into new realms it could not navigate.
Quickly, she turned to look back upon the city skyline.
“Oh…I don’t know…I was thinking…the city…it’s just so beautiful isn’t it?”
The kids looked out on the elegant towers of the metropolis as flying ships gracefully drifted between them.
They could see it’s beauty anew as only children can.

and far beyond, the reasons why
destiny is calling us
History is calling us
a mystery is calling us
Out in the wasteland
a civilization is covered in sand
what were the reasons
death and destruction took over the land
why were the people
hurting each other, I don't understand
In a future state
when this reality is gone
we don't have to wait
we know the vision was wrong
with terrible weapons
that shine as bright as the sun
they fought a great battle
but in the end nobody won
time is on our side
we've got eternity here
we don't have to hide
in ancient enemy fear
the dawn of the miracle day
the sun is making those beautiful rays
and I can see peace in the new city arise
a unity state, singing the songs of the reason age
