"I have to say, The Truth and Keep Holding On are fucking amazing and honestly some of the best techno shit I heard in years." - Max Pask

"I can only offer verbose and colourful endorsement for these fine tunes. More than a little touch of Gigolo 'lektro swagger here....evil warehouse frau-step. Like the sound of one iphone smashing - but in a good way" - Deepchild

"this SHIT ROCKS. dirty, raw techno in a concrete cave at 5am please. you can quote me on that! fav: SLOTH" - Bryan Black (Black Asteroid)

CSMNT61, our three intergalactic spacemen of the inevitable apocalypse have been working under the sun and moon, across 3 continents, swapping files and sweating the details on their magnum opus : ‘Keep Holding On’.

Unmistakably CSMNT61, ‘Keep Holding on’ is a slamming safari of electronic tech – the vocal hook belying their origins as NME hype band Lost Valentinos – a driving, synthesized master- piece influenced by sleepless nights and valium laced flights on tour. Where their previous single as Cosmonaut, ‘Say What You Want’ was a gothic trance vibe builder, the ‘Keep Hold- ing On’ EP ditches any pretense at pop and goes straight for the jugular.

While the title track stands on its own, the package truly shines when you get to ‘The Truth’ – a stripped back acid stormer with a subtle nod to Front 242. This is Motorikmusik – born and bred in Sydney’s underground, in warehouses and dark, smoky, laser-lit nightspots.

Collaborating and remixing to round out this EP is Jensen Interceptor, our friend, Motorik label-mate and former member of Light Year – debuting his new moniker with a more sinister, stripped-back and futuristic sound. ‘Sloth’, written in a haze alongside CSMNT61, borders on violence, but holds a slow, provocative and low-slung hum. Jensen’s remix of ‘Keep Holding On’ goes up a level or 10. It’s a statement of intent – wherein he hits full throttle and lets the engine roar.

Following this initial excursion into recordings we promise a lot more to come from our little city – The Finger Prince, Jensen Interceptor, Wordlife and Light Year are all forthcoming on Motorik. This release acts perfectly as an introduction to the sounds we’re playing and living to. The music at the core of our souls and at the centre of every dance floor we rotate on.

Quote central! I think all I'd like to say is that you don't need any of that, although it is lovely to know that people recognise your combined talent, for the beauty that you 'are' to glow.
