Teenage Bad Girl - Keep Up With You (Kartell Remix)

After a first album now considered as a classic in its musical genre ("Cocotte", 2007), a new era started last June for Teenage Bad Girl with the release of "Tonton Funk", their first EP after 3 years of silence during which their sound and influences have evolved. They now continue their trail proposing us a new EP : "Keep Up With You" !

Far from the classic 2.0 French touch sound, this new track mixes the genres, introducing rock, funk or even pop influences, definitely keeping the Teenage Bad Girl's touch alive. We’ll all be singing this track after we’ve heard it for the first time. The song shows a true current production style, with vocoded voices and a poppy chorus that reminds the best hours of the French touch original classics. « Keep Up With You » shows a real evolution in the French duo’s musical style. This potential hit takes an incredible dimension when played live by the band with a laser harp & keytar.

Teenage gave the keys of the track to a few producers for remixes.
Lifelike, respected for his many releases on Alan Braxe's label « Vulutre » (Discopolis, Sequencer etc.) and remixes (La Roux, Vitalic, Empire Of The Sun among others) offers us an elegant disco and dancefloor oriented version. The talented British producer Louis La Roche gave two different versions : a melodic and melancholic one and some heavy bass & funky keyboards on the other one. Huoratron, our friend from Finland, gives us a de-structured & syncopated "à la Cocotte" vision. Last but not least, our American friends from Depressed Buttons give us something more mental but full of energy, well worth a listen.

Seems a little quiet over here
