Following a short break, Silicone Soul's Darkroom Dubs label returns with one of its strongest and most unique releases to date.
Having supported their early releases in their DJ sets, the Scottish duo welcome Norwegian pairing Lil' Wolf and Chris Lynch, aka Of Norway, with a stunning debut release for the label.
Well known on the Norwegian dance scene, Of Norway have become regulars at the country's festivals and on the national radio station NRK P3. Describing their own sound as like 'being lost in the woods in Norway', it is an often chilling, sometimes warm, world of clicks, tweaks and creeks, mixing stripped electronic sounds with the atmospheric and exquisite sounds of modern life.
Their music, released on labels including Dialect, Deeplay Soultech, Brique Rouge, Audiobahn and Mantra vibes has already found them support from a vast array of DJ's, Laurent Garnier, Ben Watt, Llorca, Stacey Pullen, Brodinski, Lee Burridge, Kiki, John Digweed, Fabric Lig and Ripperton included.
Today's three track EP is yet more of the well thought out and brilliant crafted material that has won over those names. 'Strings Of Death', the aptly titled 'Woods Of Norway' and 'De Dødes Tjern' eloquently showcase the creepy Pandora's box that is the collective mind of Of Norway.
Enjoy!
