The Living End (Live)

Recorded in October 1987 during the band's final tour, The Living End features songs from Hüsker Dü’s entire catalog, from their first studio album to their final one, released earlier that year. “Target” serves as a reminder of their hardcore abilities; “It’s Not Funny Anymore” is a comparatively fizzy power-pop anthem. The highlight is the final cut: a rollicking version of the Ramones’ “Sheena Is a Punk Rocker,” taking them back to their punk roots one last time before they call it quits.
