The first album is already a very good one, but the second is even better! It contains again nature black metal, quite melodic, but also wild, with some folkloristic elements, full of atmosphere and performed with passion. For me, BLACKBRAID fits well into the same category as other epic one man bands like Saor, Ruadh or Pure Wrath. Besides the catchy and quite straight opener "The Spirit returns", I mention the mightiest track "Moss covered Bones on the Altar of the Moon" as my favourite song!

A dark, swirling, miasmic work of the best in death metal: doomed, foul, necromantic. Hypnotic serpentine darkness slithering in the murk. I first saw Worm with the Decibel tour with Hulder and knew I had to check them out. Finally got to it! Worm put on an absolutely incredible live show. Glad I finally checked out Worm’s own material. Having just finished this record, I already feel the acidic fog calling me back in…

If you can call a band OSDM while recognizing they’ve clearly transcended the category, then I will love that band. I love this band. Some of the best songwriting of any musical era or genre. Just masterful. Every new release is an artistic spectacle that compares with your favorite albums, musicals, or films. They’re becoming one of my all time favorites.
