Well, does it live up to the hype? It's okay, not as good as 'Loops' or the 'Fenella' stuff; i doubt i'll be listening to it in full very often.
Her mojo is waneing in my 'umble opinion. vykr
The production's tastefully nice, and holy cow that's a hot band there. I don't know who's playing but check out the rhythm section on "A Common Tern" while the guitar skitters nicely over it and a synth pops up in the back--and that grand romantic swell in and then back out. Savage's voice goes down to the androgynous like Buckley's went up; her sound is glorious and it was a lovely choice to record her voice dry.
The lyrics on this one grab my attention as well, evoking an age and place. Chap
