An amalgamation of catchy riffs, hooks and an ambient atmosphere of sound makes Retreater an alternative/indie rock five star act. I enjoy the vocals being saturated with reverb and not detracting from the instrumentation. Brief Candles’ experimentation and bold movement of Retreater deserves an easy A+!

Glad to have stumbled across Star's second LP. Another fine collection of shoegaze and dream pop- inspired tracks. Heard and bought their first album, Devastator, while shopping inside Hard Boiled Records (RIP), a little gem of a shop on Grace in Chicago.
