The new single "Playing the impossible game" is one for driving on the motorway and for playing the music loud. A lovely pop song is built around the steady motorik-kraut rhythms.
Like a Scandinavian long lost cousin to The War on drugs although perhaps not aiming for the same arenas...And the amazing lengthy guitar solo in the end (by long time Blood Music fellow) Marcus Palm is as close as Blood Music ever will get to Neil Young and Crazy Horse.
But most of all, this is the sound of Blood Music.
And on this track as well as the new forthcoming album "(sometimes we need) A new beginning" Karl Jonas & his musical friends take us on a fantastic ride where they throw all kinds of ingredients in their witchy brew mix.
Despite the songs varying from motorik kraut beats, shimmering pop songs, folky ballads and dramatic duets, on this album Blood Music still make it all taste natural and oh, so good.
It also features the forthcoming pearly duet single "Little one" where Anna Ahnlund (from the new amazing band Dina Ögon) guests.
The album have been mastered by Daniel Ögren (Dina ögon, Sven Wunder etc)
Blood Music have been a loved underground band for more than 15 years feat highlights like: opening up for Belle and Sebastian in a huge arena, having the First Aid Kit sisters to sing on 7 songs on the album "the fire and the flame", a US split single with Jens Lekman.
Still not a household name, though Blood Music always been quite happy with flying just below the radar.
