"Shiba Inu" marks the first harbinger of Elme´s 2nd album "The Bird Of The Year", to be released late January 2025. The album is another charming result of Sebastian Bode´s and Markus Rom´s magic approach of handling ELME as a beloved side project and intuitive playground where concept meets moment, unbound from stylistic limitations.
Having started in 2021 the fundamental idea was to rescue former sounds from everyday life, nowadays endangered from being forgotten. On "Bird Of The Year" the listener will find samples from dial phones, modems and game consoles of the 80s and 90s that might sound somehow familiar but pale in one´s memory. Interwoven with ELME´s musical key elements meandering between Indietronica, Big Beat and Ambient the album delivers a rich sonic buquet that is simply comforting to experience.
Bode & Rom worship the music-making for the sake of music, with a casual, seemingly unintentional uniqueness, that you´re invited to find on "Bird Of The Year".
