Celebrating classic noir tropes with mid-century Bluegrass and Swing flair. The first demo of Femme Fatale came way back in 2012 as one of my earliest home recordings. No MIDI trumpets or drums this time!

For every time we kissed, I had to watch for any sudden motions
So you couldn’t arm yourself, dole out your love in millimeter portions
This is noir- our love is best described in shades of black and white
Love is noir and even action leaves it feeling stale and trite
Slink through clouds of lurid haze, enthrall me to your endless chic
With just a single fluttered lash, a tendril beckons me towards the mystique
I knew that danger lurked behind eyes that embraced corruption
But for one sly, inviting gaze, I gladly disregarded my deductions
This is noir- all my convictions failed against your first attack
