Beverly Wurm
You broke my heart
Such a long time ago.
Don't worry now
I'm feeling fine
In the world I built on my own.
Beverly Wurm
You broke my heart
And left me out in the cold.
Don't worry now
I found the warmth
In the home I built on my own.
I ate the dirt
And did the work
And watched the flowers grow.
Hey, Beverly Wurm!
Did you see
my feet lift off the ground?
I was enamored by you.
I was such an ugly sight
For a month or two
Once we were through.
Beverly Wurm
You broke my heart
And left me out in the cold.
Don't worry now
I found the warmth
From the fire I built on my own.
I ate the dirt
And did the work
And watched the flowers grow.
Hey, Beverly Wurm!
Did you see
my feet lift off the ground?
I was enamored by your views.
I was such an ugly sight
For a month or two
Once we were through.
A blast to listen to. These guys have a great balance between the complex and the simple. It definitely pays strong tribute to bands of the 80s and 90s, but the vulnerable lyrical content makes it feel fresh and significant. I foresee The Tubs making lots more great music in the future! joehoffmanthefan
If you like your post-punk pissed off, wound up, and kind of weird, this Cleveland group's glitchy anti-work opus might just be for you. Bandcamp... New & Notable Jan 20, 2024
