“Ben sent me the early half written version of this song one night as a scratchy voice memo. He asked me if I wanted to finish it, pulled out my guitar and wrote the second verse and changed a few things around chord wise… when it all came together we were both very proud of this song. To me, it’s cautionary advice from somebody who has seen it all. Ben and I have that in common, we’ve both been through hell and back. When we recorded it, I had the intro lick already in my mind and that’s exactly how it came out. It sort of drones and ads to the melancholy of this tune.”
