On ‘Hoodlum FC’, KAIZEN alumnus Cartridge collaborates with Madam X.
The pair draw from the latter’s field recordings from a football match in Athens, punctuating the soundscape with plenty of “Malakas” and the furore of passionate Greek fans having a good swear.
The result is a hoods-up, heads-down 130 Dubstep offering with equal parts soul and stank-face moments. Around the halfway mark, an uplifting flute melody airs out the room, evoking a new lease of life.
This one is for the die-hard UK Dubstep heads, dappled with the dirtiest elements of the genre with a twist of Kallithea FC.
