I hesitate to call Zeal & Ardor fully realized because I know there are places Manuel and the band still want to take their listeners. You can feel it in this release, the first as a full band. There is literally something for everyone on Greif, but the core of the album is still tied to Z&A's past. The heaviness and aggressiveness are still pervasively there. I think the criticisms of the album are missing that aspect. Looking forward to hearing where they take us next.

A magnificent album from start to finish. The Belgians have found the right balance between the power of metal and the emotion of shoegaze. We must say a few words about Stefanie, who manages to sing while hitting the drums, and what a performance! Two tracks that best represent this new Brutus album, Dust for its in-your-face edge and Victoria for its possessed emotional side, are undoubtedly my track of the year. A masterpiece that should be in everyone's ears.
