Written at home and recorded at the studio of noted Seattle producer Luke Rain, “Wanderlust Highway” features Jensen on guitar, keys, and vocals and Alex Capron (Cadre, Sweet Beets) on saxophone. Rain handled drum and bass duties. “As I was putting the instrumental parts together, I really felt that the song could use a cool jazz organ to give it a bluesier vibe” explains Jensen. “The short keyboard interlude that you hear was a total accident I played while attempting to solo over the guitar part. I liked it so much that ended up giving it a feature role in the song.”
