This is a much more rocking and melodic output than the band's previous releases but not exactly a retread of the 'Memoria Vetusta' sound, though it would still be the closest comparison. The 7 tracks are all similar in their approach, with sprawling soundscapes of distorted riffs and woozy solos that show both a meditative and an abrasive side, along with raging screams and chants emerging from the din. Even if it is not as impactful for some people, it’s still a very unique experience. Lefteris Kefalas

Black death metal is, by itself, one of the most brutal, challenging, and chaotic genres - but Veilburner operate on a level of their own! Lurkers in the Capsule of Skull hits with the force of a conflagration stretching over your entire neural system, charring sinews, nerves, and psyche alike. A completely deranged, avant-garde assault on your mental balance, this concoction will not leave you unscathed. Bestial in every sense of the word and in its entirety. Listen to this - at your own peril! David Fischer
