Oriole Nest is a Neofolk project of folklorist and ethnosinger Tetiana Chukno. It’s a mix of Ukrainian traditional music and dark vibes. In her pieces she uses Ukrainian traditional songs, poetry of Ukrainian poets and sometimes her own lyrics.

Зістрибнувши з княжої монети, птах Тризуб здійнявся в небо й полетів понад полями, щоб допомогти тим, хто цього прагне.
Сокіл стрибнув на щити воїнів – і ті перемогли в нерівній битві. Бо змагалися вони не за шовк чи золото, а за право бути господарями на своїй землі.
Кажуть, у тризубі закодовано слово «ВОЛЯ». Тризуб не гарантує перемоги, але той, хто відчув смак свободи, вже ніколи не повернеться в рабство. 30 років тому птах залетів під склепіння Верховної Ради, коли туди заносили синьо-жовтий прапор. Але воля не є даністю: її треба постійно боронити. Слава Україні! Героям слава!
After jumping off the prince's coin, the Trident bird soared into the sky and flew over the fields to help those who needed it.
The falcon jumped on the shields of the warriors, and they won the unequal battle. Because they were not fighting for silk or gold, but for the right to be masters of their land.
It is said that the trident encodes the word "WILL". The trident does not guarantee victory, but those who have tasted freedom will never return to slavery. 30 years ago, a bird flew under the vaults of the Verkhovna Rada when the blue and yellow flag was being brought in. But freedom is not a given: it must be constantly defended. Glory to Ukraine! Glory to the heroes!
